I only write reviews if they are really good or really bad. This Cathay app does work but it is extremely slow, like a lot of people have already mentioned. Very frustrating and wasting time waiting around for bookings to load up. Not good.
Impossible to even sign on to this app . I entered my phone number for verification no code have been send, tried few times.. bad design

It doesn't have multiple connect flights
Can not find flight info, ever. Does not recognize input data. Learn from Delta, a good app

Only Good to see the flight status. Doesn't help to contact airlines. Could not make travel date change. Only option available to cancel the travel. Still needs improvement in this apps to score well. First name and last name recognition as per the airliner is not straight forward while login, had to struggle with trial and error.
Terrible. Worst airline company in the world. If there's an option to pay just to give 0 or negative stars i would gladly pay for it.
Having to sign in after every app update is very annoying. Furthermore the interface is very clunky, feels like its been designed by first timers, not a top 10 airline.
Difficult to book promotional flights. Clicked Japan but it went to Taiwan promotions instead. Bugs need fixing.

System hangs when manage bookings. User unfriendly for chrome users. After last update in December 2017, I can not lock in with strange error messages, which pop up for the fraction of a second, so that you don't know what it actually is about. Yet another disappointment from CX!I always get an error when trying access my booking. This is frustrating.

Lovely graphic, and friendly to use. But “book a flight” shall be available for mobile user to book flight.
I can't find the number to call for some problems that I want to ask
Your app request my first name and last name and my ref number but every time I submit my first and last name it saids my name not recognised its very annoying and yet on your Web side I have no problem this isn't very user friendly at all. Cathay you need to fix this problem.

it just happened this afternoon. i entered my booking last 2 days ago. then when i checked it this aftie, it disappear... i felt so nervous coz i thought my flight is cancelled again (since my 2 flights cancelled this month, i really want to go back to my country). i checked in their website, good thing its still confirmed...
After updated the apps, no longer able to book the flight. It keeps showing “unable to continue the request”, i just feel “huh? Selected two flights already but cannot continue?”
I just installed this app, it kept on asking me to update, when I press update, the screen shows as if I have just installed the app and prompt me to open the app just downloaded, then when I press open, it prompted me to update, and this looping went on. I couldn't do anything with this app. Now I need to show my aeroplan card with this app and I won't be able to. Cathay Pacific please don't add on unnecessary problems for your aeroplan members!
Tip: Don't use with Asia Miles account. Asia miles suddenly suspended account for no reason given, while travelling with Cathay. Flight heavily delayed but couldn't use the app to get any information because of this, just when you *need it the most*. Asia miles is giving no response for days, therefore cannot update app with any new flight information. Totally worthless app to me.
Why is it that the app logs me out every time it updates? The password has so many requirements it is impossible to memorise. Also, the "Stay signed in?" checkbox is covered by the Sign in button after typing the password, which is just bad user experience - the user tends to just click the button and, when they have to use the app again, they are still logged out. And, again, can't remember the password... Using this app is a VERY frustrating experience.

Improved UI but still very slow and clunky
Did u Cathay try this app internally before put to public use? Slow response, user-unfriendly. Complicated procedure,. You may try to add a booked ticket into a marcopolo account and see how complicated it is. Even China Airline app is better. Can you explain why I can select seat in the web but cannot select using this app? Do you expect users to switch between the web and this app and use trial method to select seat? Disappointed
Difficult to look for flights
Very slow and sometimes does not work. Lack a lot of information that you normally get on the web site
The time zone doesnt change for my return flight and is still on the zone from my home country. Imagine my anxiety when the app says check in is already about to close! 😢

Can't load most of the time
As a diamond member I used the old one a lot... Bring it back, this one is useless in my book. Not sure what it is with Cathay and their IT department. Great airline, great service, I love them, but their website and online booking has sucked for years, as does this latest app. Does anyone in that department ever road test other competitors products and see what a really good website and app looks like?
I booked a ticket using this app. My money was taken from my bank account and the ticket was not booked. I called their customer care representative who told me the ticket was cancelled on their system yet I haven't received my money back. Honestly, this experience was my first with the app and I doubt I'd ever be using it again to book a flight.
Emirates app is way better. This app loads really slow and also won't save the details of my reservation. Every time I have to reenter the details
Only good for making/viewing bookings. Can't make changes and no online help. Only contact by a number that doesnt work. The last time I will book with Cathay as this booking has just been a total mess that they have failed to deal with correctly
Still no multi-leg booking, nor reviewing points history, among other missing features After all these years, CX still can't get this right.
